AMRA-Ge® NG, New Generation Aerosols Monitor

AMRA-Ge® NG, (New Generation)
Automatic Monitor of Radioactive Aerosols:

AMRA-Ge® NG  stands  at the  top  of  the AMRA®  series, surpassing  its  predecessor, the AMRA-Sr® Aerosols Monitor.
Distinguishing itself with an electrically cooled High Purity Germanium (HPGe) detector, AMRA-Ge® NG achieves unparalleled performance in the realm of aerosol monitoring.
Both AMRA-Sr® and AMRA-Ge® NG exemplify state-of-the-art design solutions and superior performance, seamlessly integrating Alpha/Beta and Gamma spectrometric measurement chains within a standard 19” framework.
While the architecture and Alpha/Beta aerosol monitoring section mirror that of AMRA-Sr®, the key distinction lies in the superior capabilities of AMRA-Ge® NG in Gamma aerosols monitoring.
The Gamma aerosols analysis of AMRA-Ge® NG relies on an integrated high-performance spectrometric chain, featuring an electrically cooled 30% efficiency HPGe detector and a digital 16k Multi-Channel Analyzer (MCA), as elaborated below:
  • Fully electrically cooled HPGe detector with a remarkable 30% efficiency.
  • The inclusion of a cutting-edge State of Health Preamplifier (SHP) enables real-time monitoring of the detector's status.
  • Embedded within the detection assembly is a K-40 reference source, facilitating automatic conversion gain stabilization.
  • A digital MCA with an impressive 16k channels enhances precision in spectrometric measurements.
  • Mechanical compatibility with AMRA-Sr® ensures seamless upgradability, at any given time, an AMRA-Sr® can be elevated to AMRA-Ge® NG status by installing the HPGe detection unit and related MCA, replacing the scintillation detector-based measuring chain.
  • The AMRA-Sr® firmware comes pre-equipped, and a simple configuration file allows for the effortless selection of the desired setup.
